Centrally located hotel with well-equipped pool and spa. High-class restaurant offering excellent meals and breakfasts. Comfortable and clean rooms with interesting seating areas throughout. Expensive furnishings and friendly, English-speaking staff. Conveniently close to market, river, and beautiful mountain scenery. Great value for money.

We had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel in a picturesque town. The room was a perfect blend of classic and modern design, and the view overlooking the river was simply beautiful. The spa facilities were top-notch, especially the pool and saunas. The friendly and accommodating staff made us feel right at home. The delicious Austrian dishes for dinner, along with regional wines and schnapps, were a treat. The location was ideal, within walking distance to everything in town. I highly recommend this hotel for a lovely experience.

The reason we liked it was FINE staff and food. The restaurant was located within 400 feet. Bed is comfortable.

our recent family holiday in Bad Ischl was truly unforgettable, thanks to an amazing stay at Goldener Ochs. The friendly staff, delicious buffet breakfast, and fantastic wellness area exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the town center. We couldn't have asked for more!
Pillows were too soft.

The staff (very obliging), the comfort of the room, the central location, and the view of the mountains.
The food was good, but the choice in the menu was a little poor.

I wanted to visit Jainzenberg so much that I chose the Goldener Ochs hotel solely for its location. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the private parking available onsite. The cosy restaurant, Lehár-Stuben, with its regular table of Franz Lehár, and the inviting winter garden with the integrated salad buffet and sheltered garden were also delightful.
Location amazing, but long walk.

Requested a room with view of the mountains - got a lovely view, with a room a few metres from the spa area. Booked 2 nights with no half board - stayed a 3rd extra night and ordered half board! Meal was lovely. Practically had the spa area to myself too, which was great.
Well, I went there alone, am 25, travelled light for trekking in the mountains - so had only mountain boots with me... felt completely out of place, seems like a lot higher class stay at this hotel and eat at it's restaurant. But that's just my problem, not the hotel's - I will be better aware next time! Spa opens at 7:30 - I was early each day, no music was playing, when later in the day it was - so I would hear the cleaning lady mopping and moving her bucket around while I was trying to relax in the infra-red cabin before my mountain hike - she did not seem phased about clunking past me but I felt that maybe if the spa says it opens at 7:30 - it should be cleaned and ready by that time. I was glad I tried the hotel, but would probably not come there again because of the highness of class, I was testing it also for our company to see if it would suit a group of young Slovaks! Which I don't think it would!

Located in the heart of town next to a picturesque river, this hotel offers easy access to nearby eateries and breathtaking views of the nearby mountains. The rooms are cozy and pleasantly decorated, with plenty of amenities to keep guests comfortable. The breakfast includes a wide variety of hot and cold items, providing a great start to the day.
While the hotel offers a great location and comfortable rooms, there may be a slight smell in the lobby and rooms that some guests may find off-putting.

The hotel was lovely, the room was great with a wonderful view of Salzburg. The breakfast was good although usually depleted by the time we got there. Very quiet and restful location which was a short walk from the city center. The owners were very helpful and friendly.
The location was a bit difficult to find with narrow one way streets. Also, walking to dinner and back a little bit of an effort.

Nice view from the room window, fresh air of the mountains, friendly atmosphere, generally relax feeling.
There was no air conditioner in the room - a bad surprise for 4* hotel.

We absolutely loved staying at this place by the river bank. The location was perfect, as it was so close to the river and the shopping street. We could easily walk to the Esplanade and explore the area. The service here was excellent, with friendly staff who really understood the concept of customer service. The room amenities were great, with heating, tea and coffee facilities, and a comfortable sitting area. We also enjoyed the terrace and garden furniture, where we could relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The spa and wellness center was a highlight, with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, and massage services. We loved spending time on the sun terrace and loungers, as well as exploring the spa center. The public bath facilities were convenient and the free Wi-Fi was a bonus. our experience here was fantastic and we highly recommend this venue for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
This place is perfect for families too.
